Every dollar raised supports our hospital and ensures kids with acute burns, orthopedic conditions, and cleft lip and palate receive world-class care, regardless of a family’s ability to pay or insurance status.

The walk is organized to promote physical activity and raise awareness for Shriners Children’s Texas. The scenic 1- mile walk will go through the historic east end of Galveston and conclude at the hospital with a fun, family-friendly carnival. Every dollar raised will support the hospital and ensure kids with acute burns, orthopedic conditions, and cleft lip and palate receive world-class care regardless of a family’s ability to pay or insurance status.
The walk will take place on Saturday, November 15 starting at 10:30 at Shriners Children’s Texas located at 815 Market Street, Galveston, Texas 77550. The starting point will be at the corner of Post Office and 9th Street.
The walk is 1-mile long and will take about 45 minutes to complete, depending on your pace.
Yes! The walk is designed to accommodate participants of all fitness levels. We encourage everyone to go at their own pace and enjoy the experience.
Yes, registration is required to participate. You can register online or in person on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Yes, there will be rest stops along the route for hydration and short breaks. Water stations will be available.
No pet will be allowed on the day of the walk.

Yes, the registration fee is $25 per walker, and children under 12 are free. The $25 fee includes a beach towel, and children under 12 will receive a drawstring backpack. The funds raised will directly support Shriners Children’s Texas.
In the event of rain or unsafe weather conditions, the event will be cancelled. The rescheduled date will be Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Yes, walking with a group is encouraged! You can form a team or join one during registration. Teams often have fun and provide a supportive atmosphere.
